Help IAA highlight the achievements of people with Autism

Irish Autism Action is offering an opportunity to participate in the filming of a video to highlight the achievements of people with Autism.

We will film a video to the song (Something Inside) So Strong as performed by Tommy Fleming. It is a powerful ballad, with lyrics that remind us of what is like to be confronted by and then overcome, the obstacles life puts in the way. Many of us with children with autism know this everyday reality. We now want to celebrate and inspire by highlighting the successes we see.

We have been given the rights to use the song and Paddy Mc Carney is on board to direct the video. The plan is to shoot the video over the weekend of May 20/21, in Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath. The idea is to capture people with ASD as they are, in inspiring ways. In our view, every child can be a part of this. Combining a number of such vignettes can make for a powerful statement, when coupled with the song. We would expect to use the video on our web site, on social and traditional media and it could well go viral on YouTube.

We are very conscious of the need to manage the time of both child and family, so if you choose to get involved, we will assign a time for you to attend.

Please fill out the consent form and return to us at on or before May 15. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, as overall places are limited.
